What does the question mean?

• This is the shared set of (implicit and explicit) values, ideas, concepts and rules of behaviour that allow a social group to function and perpetuate itself
• Culture is understood as dynamic and evolving socially constructed reality that exists in the minds of social group members. It is the 'normative glue' that allows group members to communicate and work effectively together
• Virtually, all complex societies tend to have number of co-existing, overlapping and competing subcultures. (anthropological research aims to identify groups with shared cultural knowledge, and understand how subcultures co-exist and interact).
