• Peter Saunders (1990) says children in private schools (who are most likely to be white) deserve better opportunities as they are naturally more hardworking and intelligent
• Waddington (2004) says black males being 9.7 times more likely to be stop and searched is not due to institutional racism but rather because they are more likely to be involved in gangs
• Tony Sewell finds 57% of African-Caribbean families are single parent compared to 25% of white families making young black males more likely to fall into the underclass
