• Repeated viewing of aggressive media especially game playing can provide us with a script about how violent situations may play out
• Huesman- This script is stored in memory as a schema and makes us ready or primed to be aggressive
• when we receive an aggressive cue in the environment →the script triggered in a non-conscious implicit manner leading to aggressive behaviour or general increase in likelihood of aggression
• Long time exposure to violent media leads to frequent activation and priming of the script →lowers activation thresholds for learnt aggressive scripts
• Leads to much earlier activation of scripts, scripts become more easily triggered upon sensing slightest aggressive cues in the environment
