  • Nominal level data- Frequency count data that consists of the number of participants falling into categories.
  • Ordinal level data- Data that is capable of being put into rank order
  • Interval level data- Data measured in fixed units with equal distance between points on the scale
  • Related data is when the two sets of data are from the same participants (repeated measures or matched pairs)
  • unrelated data is from two different sets of participants (independent measures).
  • If the stats tests includes an R than the calculated value will be greater than the critical value
