The Iona monastry is a pilgrimage site because it is the birthplace of christianity in Scotland and offers a historical understanding however is criticised because it is expensive
Lourdes is a pilgrimage site as it is where Mary appeared to Bernadette and it is known to have lots of healing miracles so people like to cleanse in the water
prayer is communications with God as a form of worship which allows individuals to share conversations with God
