  The fool defines madness as a physical problem. He links it to the brain and therefore, has a medical/biological perspective on madness.
• How does Sebastian define madness?


  Sebastian defines madness as a question of the senses (sight, smell, touch, taste, and hearing). He also believes that its relative; meaning, it's dependent on how others perceive you. He describes this as, if you have power and you're able to yield it over others, meaning if those under you do what you want them to, you're not crazy.
• How does Malvolio define madness?

  Malvolio feels madness is caused by isolation, torture, bullying, and mistreatment.
• What does Olivia suggest to Sebastian?

  That they get married right away.
• How does Sebastian feel while Olivia is showering him with affection and gifts?

  He is surprised but not upset. He says he feels as if he's dreaming and if so, he'd like to remain asleep to continue the dream.

  They both belong to the peasant/servant class. Additionally, they are both in love with people who belong to the aristocracy or upper class. Malvolio is in love with Olivia and Antonio is in love with Sebastian.

• Where do the servants and Sir Toby lock Malvolio?

  They tie him up and leave him in a dark room (likely a basement kind of area/room).
• What do Sir Toby, Fabian, and Maria pretend to believe about Malvolio?

  That he is possessed by a demon.
• Why is Antonio unsafe in Illyria?

  Antonio was formally a pirate. When he was a pirate, he and his group of pirates robbed several of Orsino's ships, but Antonio was the only one caught and arrested. Antonio was able to escape and has since been wanted for arrest in Illyria.
• How does Sir Toby convince Sir Andrew to stay?

  By convincing him that Olivia only pays attention to Cesario (Viola) when Andrew is around as a way of making him jealous. Which, Toby says is proof Olivia actually loves him. This is all a lie of course.
• Why does Sir Toby want to keep Sir Andrew around?

  Because he has been stealing his money. If Andrew leaves, Toby will not be able to steal his money anymore. Also, if Andrew leaves, he'll realize Toby has been stealing his money.
