Franco-Prussian War

• War between France & Germany 
• Germany unified together after this war
• A treaty was made after this war:

  • france lost alsace lorainne
  • france lost 200 million pounds
• Contributed to WWI and treaty of Versailles as France was probably unhappy with losing land and this much money
• The Kaiser became in chage of Germany
• France allianced w/ Britain & Russian which resulted in bad consequences for WWI as grudges + alliances = bad
• Germany realised of France's alliance so they allianced with Austria Hungary & Italy
• These alliances that Germany and France had were one of the big causes of WW1
