  • Humanitarian disasters
• Air pollution is the most severe environmental threat to human health in 2019
• Non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, cancer, and heart disease account for more than 70% of all deaths worldwide
• An influenza pandemic is a global outbreak of a new influenza A virus
• More than 1.6 billion people live in places with weak health services and without access to primary health care
• Antimicrobial resistance threatens to make diseases challenging to treat
• Ebola outbreaks in the Democratic Republic of Congo extended to cities with populations of over one million people
