Exponents

• When multiplying exponents merge superscript
• Always have 1 = sign per line!!!
• Product Rule - You can add exponents with same base number
• $Product rule - 2^3 x 2^2 =$$2^5$
• $10^4 / 10^6 =$$1/10^2$
• Product rule $a^m *$$a^n =$$a^(m+n)$
• Power of Power Rule - Multiply power of powers
• $PFPR - (2^3)^3 =$$2^9$
• $Quotient - 8^6 / 8^4 =$$8^2$
• $Neg Quo - 10^4 / 10^ 6 =$$1/10^2$
• IDK rule $IDK RULE - (ab)^n =$$a^n b^n$
• Power rule for brackets - Since exponents apply to entire brackets, individual parts can be separated.
• PRQ - $Power Rule Quotient - (a/b)^n =$$a^n/b^n$
• Zero Exponent - If the number is Exponent = 0, it is equal to one
• $Xero Xponent - a^0 =$$1$
• Negative exponent - If a exponent in a fraction is negative, make it positive and move it to the other side
• Neg exponent = $NegExp - (a/b)^-N =$$(b/a)^n$
• NEGITIVE EXPONENTS GO TO THE BOTTOM (Lower area of fraction)
