Evaluation

• There may be bias as psychologist may only diagnose people from the working class which is why people are 5x more like to get schizophrenia if they are from the working class
• There are problems with establishing cause and effect as it could be that lower social class drives people into schizophrenia rather than schizophrenia driving people to the lower class therefore we can't determine the actual cause of schizophrenia
• Physical factors associated with the lower class may be the reason to why they are more likely to have schizophrenia. This can include complications in pregnancy and childbirth or factors like poor diet and nutrition
