  • Describe the term “Government”.
    ans: A government is an institution, or a system made of a group of people that takes care of
    or manages a country or a state. A government is a system of order for a nation, state, or another
    political unit.
  • What is meant by the term ‘Constitution’?
    Answer: The basic principles and laws of a nation, state or social group that determine the powers
    and duties of the government and guarantee certain rights to the people in it.
  • What do you mean by “Revolution”?
    Answer: A revolution is a drastic change that usually occurs relatively quickly. Typically,
    revolutions take the form of organized movements aimed at effecting change—economic change,
    technological change, political change, or social change.

    Answer:
    • Governments are necessary to maintain law and order. Laws are essential for society to
    function.
    • The government provides safety and security for its people.
    • Government is responsible for providing infrastructure like building and maintaining
    roads, running hospitals and schools.

    Answer:
    1. Democracy: A government in which the supreme power is vested in the people.
    b. Monarchy: A form of government in which supreme authority is vested in a single usually
    hereditary figure such as a Monarch, a King or Queen.
    c. Dictatorship: A type of government in which one person possesses absolute power.
    d. Aristocracy: A form of government in which power is held by the nobility.

    i) Aristocracy is "Government in which power
    is in the hands of a few privileged people".
    i) The supreme authority is vested in the Monarch, an
    individual ruler who functions as the Head of State and
    who achieves his or her position through heredity.
    ii) It is a form of government where a small
    group of elites’ rule.

    is vested in a single and usually hereditary figure, such
    as a King or Queen
