Low back pain
:
lumbar area

Etiology:
obesity

poor posture

weak abdominal muscles

constant
or
improper
lifting.Most common causes is a herniated
intervertebral disk.
Symptoms: may be
acute
and resolve in
days
or
chronic
that can last a
lifetime
;
lumbar spasms.
Spasms
:
involuntary
muscle
contractions.
Diagnosis
:
X-rays
,
Ct scan
, and
MRI.
Treatment:
rest
;
warm
,
moist heat
;
analgesics
; and
anti-inflammatories.
Prevention
:
walking
and
exercise
program and making sure you are
lifting properly.
