    When the circulatory system fails to bring oxygen-rich blood to organs and tissues causing body and organs systems to fail.
    • Have them lay flat, maintain body temperature, don't give food or drink, reassure them and monitor their state.
  • How do you care for a burn?
    Immediately run cool water on burn for 10-20 minutes and leave burn wound open

    disinfect the area, wipe area, flood area with with disinfectant solution, and use paper towels to dry area

    Abnormal electrical activity in the brain that lead to involuntary changes in movement, function, sensation, and awareness
    • Convulsions: uncontrolled body movements caused by contraction of muscles
    • Aura: unusual sensation or feeling before seizure happens

    • Stroke: Interruption of blood flow to the brain by clot or bleeding vessel
    • Heart attack: Blood flow to the heart muscle is blocked
    • Cardiac arrest: Heart stops beating or beats weakly and ends up stopping blood circulation.

    Apply direct pressure, put gauze over it, and wrap it with bandage while continuing to put pressure

    A break, chip, or crack in the bone
    • Immobilized area and apply splint to hold it in place

    • Difficulty remembering and thinking: prior and present
    • Physical: headache, blurred vision, nausea/vomiting, dizziness, seizures, sensitivity, balance problems, and sluggish
