Situation Ethics

• Fletcher is not opposed to any of these procedures
• humans (in fletcher's eyes) are makers, selectors and designers
• Should be able to redesign in order to banish disease and improve the species
• "control of a child's sex by cloning, to avoid any one of the 50 sex-linked genetic diseases... might be justifiable"
• The actual person is more important than the potential person
