Elijah was called by God to prophesy to the northern kingdom of Israel during a period of idolatry.
Elijah’s name means “Yahweh is my God,” pointed to his mission of fighting for the true God.
Elijah was called “Troubler of Israel” because he made enemies of the king and his wife. He attack on Baal and denounced the king’s injustice to the poor.

Seizure of Naboth’s Vineyard ( 1 Kings 21).
Naboth refused to sell his vineyard to king Ahab and his wife Jezebel situated near the king’s property. Jezebel made false accusation against Naboth who was charged guilty and was stoned to
death, and the king took possession of the vineyard.
