Why does your core temperature cool when you drink ice cold water?
if one place in the body cools (stomach) it will cool the blood around it and all of the body will cool because of blood flow
What is type 1 diabetes? 
A disorder caused by the pancreas failing to produce sufficient insulin. This results in uncontrolled high blood glucose levels. it is normally treated with insulin
What is type 2 diabetes? 
a disorder caused by the body cells no longer responding to insulin. obesity is a risk factor of this, it is treated with regular exercise and a carbohydrate controlled diet
What ways does water leave the body? 
lungs during breathing
skin in sweat
in urine
How is the balance of water and ions regulated in the body? 
kidney
how do the kidneys produce urine? 
filter the blood
selective reabsorption of useful substances such as glucose and some ions and water
