• There are lots of feminine identities in modern UK, including the traditional & less traditional
• Traditional Feminine Identities are housewife and mothers
• Non Traditional Feminine Identities are breadwinners, career women and single mothers
• However, even today, feminine identity can be related to a submissive or passive role linked with a lack of confidence & ambition
• Feminists argue that this traditional feminine identities (who lack confidence & ambition) is learned through socialisation & it is changing, albeit slowly
