what are the steps in creating a publication using adobe indesign?
1. set up the document
2. make a nameplate of the publication
What are the four elements of design?
Repitition, Proximity, Contrast, Alignment
Contrast: degree of noticeable differences.
Alignment: lining up the top, bottom, sides or middle of text or graphic elements on a page
Repitition: repeating certain concepts to create a patter. can either be color, shape, font, sizes.
proximity: the spacial relationship between two or more items
title bar: name of the file that you have opened, located at the top of the interface.
the ribbon: located below the title bar, lets you perform all the commands available in the program
rulers: located at the left side and at the top part of the interface. allows you to measure the width and length dimensions
page navigation pane: lets you quickly navigate documents by clicking on a page thumbnail to move to that certain page.
publication page: where you can see the file that you have opened and make some alterations: allows you to edit, add text, graphic, etc.
scroll bar: located at the bottom part and at the right side of the interface. allows you to scroll through your document.
zoom slider: where you can adjust the magnification
status bar: contains the zoom slider and page layout view buttons
page layout view buttons: located beside the zoom slider. allows you to switch the view of your work are between a single page of two-page view/ read mode and template mode.
