Direct Proportion

• Whenever the ratio of 2 variables is the same, we say the variables are Directly Proportional
• In symbols:

  Y a X
• The graph will be a Straight Line passing through the origin.
• If 2 variables are directly proportional then:

  • As x increases in size, y will also increase in size
  • As x decreases in size, y will also decrease in size
