• Mesh tool:

  • Creates and edits meshes and mesh envelopes
  • Shortcut key: U
• Gradient tool:

  • Adjusts beginning and ending points and angle of gradients within objects
  • Applies a gradient to objects
  • Shortcut key: G
• Eyedropper tool:

  • Samples and applies color, type, and appearance attributes, including effects, from objects
  • Shortcut key: L
• Live Paint Bucket tool:

  • Paints faces and edges of Live Paint groups with current paint attributes
  • Shortcut key: K
• Live Paint Selection tool:

  • Selects faces and edges within Live Paint groups
  • Shortcut key: Shift + L
• Blob Brush tool:

  • Draws paths that automatically expand and merge calligraphic brush paths with the same color and adjacent in stacking order
  • Shortcut key: Shift + B
• Type tool - creates individual type and type containers and lets the illustrator enter and edit type. The shortcut key for this tool is T
• The Selection tool selects entire objects. To activate the tool, press V key on the keyboard
• Magic Wand tool selects objects with similar attributes. To activate the tool, press Y key on the keyboard
• Lasso tool - to activate the tool, press Q key on the keyboard
• Pen tool - draws straight and curved lines to create objects. To activate the tool, press P key on the keyboard
• Add Anchor Point tool adds anchor points to paths. To activate the tool, press + key on the keyboard
• Pencil tool:

  • Draws and edits freehand lines

• To activate the Delete Anchor Point tool, press - key on the keyboard
• To activate the Convert Anchor Point Tool, press Shift + C on the keyboard
• The Line Segment tool draws individual straight lines. To activate the Line Segment tool, press \ key on the keyboard
• The Rectangle tool draws squares and rectangles. To activate the Rectangle tool, press M key on the keyboard
• The Ellipse tool draws circles and ovals. To activate the Ellipse tool, press L key on the keyboard
• 1. The symbol sprayer tool - places multiple symbol instances as a set on the artboard. To activate the tool,

  press Shift+S key on the keyboard.
• 9. The warp tool molds objects with the movement of the cursor (like molding clay, for example). To activate the tool, press Shift+R key on the keyboard.
• 1. The rotate tool rotates objects around a fixed point. To activate the tool, press R key on the keyboard.
• Reflect tool:

  • Flips objects over a fixed axis
  • To activate the tool, press O key on the keyboard
• Scale tool:

  • Resizes objects around a fixed point
  • To activate the tool, press S key on the keyboard
• Free transform tool:

  • Scales, rotates, or skews a selection
  • To activate the tool, press E key on the keyboard
