Focusing at High Power

• #1 If greater magnification is needed, rotate the nosepiece to the high power objective lens (40x or 100x).
• #2 With high power objectives, especially the oil immersion lens (100x), you may need to add a drop of immersion oil to the slide to create a continuous optical path from the slide to the lens.
• #3 Use the fine focus knob exclusively to prevent damage to the slide and objective lens due to the very small working distance at high magnification.
• #4 Adjust the condenser and light intensity as needed for clear visibility.
