Depression is a mood disorder defined by constant and long lasting state of sadness
Behavioural aspects of depression are reduction is activitylevel (lackingenergy to do ,anhedonia, lack of pleasure from those activities), eatingbehaviour (weight gain or loss), increase in aggression (formofselfharm)
Emotional aspects include sadness (low mood) and guilt ( helplessness and feel no value in comparison to others)
Cognitive aspects are poor concentration (can be indecisive) and negative schemas ( automatic negative biases)
Physiological symptoms of depression include fatigue, sleep disturbances, appetite changes, headaches, muscle tension, gastrointestinal problems, sexual dysfunction, increased risk of suicide
