• Aqueous solutions of ethanol can be produced by the fermentation of sugar , which is a renewable resource
• During fermentation : sugar --> ethanol + carbon dioxide
• During fermentation , temperatures of 25 degrees Celsius to 50 degrees Celsius work best
• During fermentation, if the temperature is too low , the yeast become inactive and the rate of reaction slows
• During fermentation, if the temperature is too high, the yeast is denatured and stops working
