  • role: the actions and activities assigned to or required or expected of a person or group
  • status: how important a person's role makes them in other people's estimation
  • exploitation: Misuse of power or money to get others to do things for little or unfair reward
  • emergency aid: Also known as short term aid. Help given to communities in a time of disaster or crisis, eg food during a famine, shelter after an earthquake.
  • Charity: Voluntarily giving time or money to help people in need.
  • Interest: Money paid back on loans in addition to the original amount borrowed.
  • Poverty: The state of being without the things needed for a reasonable quality of life, so that day-to-day living is a struggle.
  • Artha: One of the four aims of human life; earning a lawful living.
  • Kama: One of the four aims of human life; enjoying the pleasures of life.
