• Only people who have lived in Dharavi since 2000 are eligible to move into new apartments.
• Many people previously lived above their workplaces in the slums, which is not possible in the new flats creating job loss.
• New flats have pollution rules so working in the flats is banned (metalworking).
• There is no longer any space for pottery or recycling work to be done, which are Dharavi's biggest employers.
