    than individual word meanings.
  • Syntax - is the study of phrase
    construction, clauses and sentences
    in a language. It deals with basic word
    order followed in any language.
  • Microlinguistics - refers to the study of
    small-scale linguistic phenomena
    within a specific language or
    languages. It focuses on detailed
    analysis of fundamental properties of
    languages and linguistic elements
    such as phonemes (distinctive
    sounds), morphemes (smallest units
    of meaning), syntax (sentence
    structure), and semantics (meaning of
    words and sentences).
