  • The CNS coordinates the response (decides what to do about the stimulus)
  • Caffeine experiment (1):
    1. Have someone sat with their arm on the edge of a table
    2. Hold a ruler vertically between their thumb and forefinger. Make sure the zero end of the ruler is level with their thumb and finger. Then let go of it with no warning
    3. The person should try to catch the ruler as fast as possible
  • Control variables for the experiment:
    • Have the same person and hand catch ruler
    • The ruler being dropped from the same height
