• Strongly against not getting involved in the events of Sudetenland
• Rejected the option of appeasement and giving in to Hitler
• Wanted a 3rd option

  Believed that it was moral cowardice to give into aggression

  Frustrated Britain ruled out possibility of a Grand Alliance -> France, Russia
• Believed in necessary Britain was going to war in 1938
