God

• Creator - created the world in six days, out of nothing (ex nihilo), rested in the seventh day.
• Sustainer - he keeps this world in order - ensuring humans can live.
• Omnipotent - God could create the world - all-powerful.
• God is omnibenevolent - he sent Jesus to save us - all-loving.
• God is omnipresent - present everywhere.

  Psalms 139 “ where can I flee from your presence?”
• Trinity - three persons of one God.

  Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
• St. Augustine’s De Trinitate 8.10 - tried to show that the Trinity (is not a mystery but a mystery is revealed) was Biblical.

  E.g. When Jesus was baptised all three were there.

  Compared it to love - needs three things:

  loved person

  love itself
