  • What are the two kinds of information:
    Explicit information
    Implicit information
  • Explicit information - the information is stated in the text.
  • Explicit information - the readers can see piece of information stated in the given passage.
  • Implicit information - the information is not directly presented in the text
  • Implicit information - we need to read between the lines to understand the detail that the writer is trying to tell us
  • 3 kinds of claims:
    Claims of fact
    Claims of value
    Claims of policy
  • Claims of fact - claims that has evidence to support it.
  • Claims of fact - pieces of information which are grounded on reliable authority
  • Claims of value - information that are focused on relative judgement such as goodness or badness
  • Claims of policy - specific statements on peocedures or laws that need to be modifief based on certain issues or conditions
  • Intertextuality - getting ideas on other story for your story
  • Intertextuality - trying to make meaning of the material that we are absorbing throughmany different processes
  • Hypertextuality - theres an unidentified begining middle end
  • Hypertextuality - theres a clue on each scene for readers
  • Hypertextuality- allows reader to studya text in adifferent manner
  • Hyper text - allows reader to choose their way of reading the text that speaks to them in the most logical manner insividually

  • Assertion - is a statement used to make a declaration or to express strong belief on a particular topic

  • Emphatic assertion - statement use to express empathy or on how a person understand the feelings and emotions of the literary authors
  • I language assertion - statement used to express the feeling and preferencesof the writer
  • I LANGUAge assertion- this is recommended if the author wants to express negative feelings or opinion and the writer uses "I"
  • Text Organization is the way atext is organized that helps ta guide the reader
