Gas exhange/respiration

• Alveoli adaptions thin wall ,good blood supply ,moist ,many small spherical alveoli
• Carbon dioxide diffuses from high concentration to low concentration, so it moves out of the bloodstream and into the air spaces (alveoli).
• Diaphragm sheet of muscle found underneath the lungs
• Gas exchange process involving gases moving in and out our blood
• Pharynx: the membrane-lined cavity behind the nose and mouth, connecting them to the oesophagus.
• Larynx: a hollow tube in the middle of your neck, just above your trachea (windpipe) and behind your oesophagus
• Diffusion is the movement of particles from an area of high concentration to an area of low concertation
