Co-action effect
- refers to your performance being better on a task, merely because there are other people doing the same task as you.
Social facilitation
- a phenomenon where people show increased levels of effort and performance when in the presence of others
Social inhibition
- is a conscious or subconscious avoidance of a situation or social interaction.
Free-riding
- means individuals work less because their colleagues will complete the task for them
Social Loafing
- occurs when team members cannot be identified, meaning there are no rewards or punishments for individuals.
