  • Speed is defined as how far an object moves in a given time interval
  • Average Speed:
    • Represents the speed of the object throughout its travel
  • What quantity? Speed - Scalar Quantity
  • Formula of Speed: Speed = Distance/Time
  • Distance = Distance 1 + Distance 2 + Distance 3
  • Velocity is Speed with direction
  • Velocity = Displacement/Time the formula
  • Distance refers to the length of the entire path that the object travelled
  • Scalar - specified by magnitude(number) alone
  • Displacement - The shortest distance between the objects two positions
  • Velocity - how fast is an object moving and to which direction
  • Reference point - Starting point
  • Motion - A continuous change in position with respect to a reference point
  • SI - System International Unit
  • Speed describes the how fast or slow an object is
  • Speed
Is also which the location changes
  • Constant Motion/Constant Speed
If an object does not increase nor decrease it's speed then it's constant
  • Instantaneous speed
Measures how fast or slow an object moves in a particular time
  • To get the distance, get the sum of all the magnitude of the object in motion
  • To get the displacement, get the sum with the same direction then subtract with the opposite direction and copy the direction with the bigger magnitude
  • Velocity - Vector Quantity
