• Tanaga - It is a type of Filipino poem, consisting of four lines

  with seven syllables, each with the same rhyme at

  the end of each line.
• Myths - narratives explaining

  how the world and people came to be in

  their form
• Folktale - a tale or legend originating and

  traditional among a people or folk, especially

  one forming part of the oral tradition of the

  common people
• Folklore - is the whole of oral traditions

  shared by a particular group of people,

  culture or subculture.
• Legends are a form of prose the common theme of

  which is about the origin of a thing, place, location or

  name.
• The folk song is a form of folk lyric, expresses hopes

  and aspirations, the people’s lifestyle, as well as their

  loves. These are often repetitive and sonorous, didactic and

  naïve as in the children’s song.
