    an attempt to defend a generalization of a certain group under the premise of not being "pure enough"
  • Post Hoc Fallacy
    claiming that correlation equals causation (it's false)
  • Hasty Generalization
    basing inferences on a small, unrepresentative sample
  • Faulty Analogy
    assuming that two situations that share some similarities are alike in other aspects
  • Red Herring
    attempting to hide a weakness in an argument to divert from the main issue
  • Circular Argument
    restating the argument (claim) for the conclusion in different words
