    • Zeanah’s findings were more valid than rutter’s because Zeanah did randomly assign pts to either fostering or remaining in the institution. This means the extraneous variables of individual differences were removed. But it does imply the study had ethical issues as some children were given the chance to have improved surroundings which research shows leads to better development.
