Animal cells

• Animals are eukaryotes. Their genetic material (DNA) is enclosed in a nucleus.
• The Nucleus' function is to enclose the genetic material.
• The cytoplasm is a watery solution where chemical reactions take place in for example the first stage of respiration.
• The cell membrane controls the molecules that can enter or leave and cell.
• Aerobic respiration takes place in the Mitochondria.
• Ribosomes are the sites of protein synthesis.
• There are 5 features in an Animal cell the nucleus, ribosomes, cell membrane, cytoplasm and the Mitochondria.
