The
Sahara
is the
largest
desert on
Earth
, covering most of
North Africa.
The climate of the Sahara Desert is
extremely dry
with very
little rainfall.
Temperatures can reach over
50°C
during the day but drop to below
freezing
at
night.
Camels have adapted to survive in the desert by being able to store
water
in their humps and go without drinking for
long periods
of
time.
There are few
plants
or
animals
that live in this
harsh environment.
Despite its
extreme conditions
, some people still choose to live in the
Sahara Desert
due to
cultural traditions
and
economic opportunities.
People who live in the
Sahara Desert
often rely on
traditional
methods such as
camel herding
and
agriculture
using
irrigation systems.
