  • Belief in Allah:
    • Muslims believe in Allah as the only Creator, Sustainer, King, and Planner of everything in existence
    • They believe that all of mankind was created to dedicate worship for Allah alone
  • Belief in the Angels:
    • Angels are created to obey the commands of Allah without transgressing His laws
    • Muslims believe in the existence of angels, their names like Jibreel (Gabriel), Mikail, Israfeel, and Malik, and their tasks such as delivering revelations and recording human deeds
  • Belief in the Revealed Scriptures:
    • Muslims believe in all the books revealed to the messengers, including the Torah, the Gospel, the Psalms, the scriptures of Ibrahim, and the Qur’an
    • They believe these scriptures were revealed by Allah and confirm the previous revelations
  • Belief in the Messengers:
    • Muslims believe in all the messengers sent by Allah, including those mentioned by name in the Qur’an like Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad
    • They believe in messengers whose names were not mentioned and that Allah spoke directly to some messengers
  • Prophets and messengers were chosen by Allah and sent to every nation throughout the history of mankind
  • Muslims believe the prophets and messengers were commanded to call people to worship only one God - Allah, without associating any partners with Him
  • They were also commanded to warn those who disbelieved about the punishment of Hell and give glad tidings to those who believed about the reward of Paradise
  • Five messengers were given the special title of the Messengers of Strong Will: Nuh (Noah) as, Ibrahim (Abraham) as, Musa (Moses) as, Isa (Jesus) as, and Muhammad ﷺ

  • Allah chose the prophets and messengers as the best examples to their nations, bestowing upon them knowledge, understanding, guidance, miracles, protection from sin, and honor
  • Belief in the Last Day includes the belief in the punishment and bliss of the grave, resurrection, judgment of deeds, and belief in Paradise and Hell
  • Belief in Divine Decree (Al-Qadar) is to believe that everything that happens, good or bad, occurs according to Allah's divine decree
