    Initial whole skill is attempted to gain feel
    Areas of weakness can be identified, practiced and broken down
    Example- tennis serve

    Practice that involves very short or no rest intervals during a training session
  • Distributed practiced
    Relatively long rest between trials
  • Fixed practice
    Practice taking place in stable, predictable environment, with conditions remaining unchanged
  • Varied practice
    Practice conditions change so the performer has a range of experiences, like a true life situation
