      people stop to breath for a minute or more and then wake up gasping for breath.

      sudden attacks of sleepiness during the day
    • night terror
      causes someone to awaken scare, occur during satege 3 or stage 4 of sleep
    • stages of sleep
      1. STAGE 1: falling asleep/light sleep
      2. STAGE 2: heart rate slows/ body temperature drops
      3. STAGE 3&4: deep sleep/muscles and tissues repair R.E.M. : body is paralyzed and dreams begin
