  • burn them (combustion): C + O2 and CO2 released to atmosphere
  • increase CO2 %
  • mass deforestation reduce producers to take CO2 out of atmosphere (phs)
  • deforestation mostly for land not for trees, so theyre burnt down -> more CO2
