  • China become EUs 2nd largest trading partnership after US and EU imports more goods from China than anywhere else in the world
  • NEEs increase importance in global trade e.g. China, India

  • trade between LICs and NEES increasing > China manu sector relies on lots of energy so needs oil e.g. from Angola
  • Bangladesh exports to US and EU and imports from China and India rather than LICs
