ECOLOGY

• Ecology is the study of the relationship of organisms to one another and their physical surroundings.
• Organism Ecology - This is the study of organisms within populations.  
• Community Ecology - This is the study of communities within ecosystems. 
• Chemosynthesis - performed by bacteria, use chemical energy to produce carbohydrates. 
• Population Ecology - This is the study of populations within communities.
