  • In Scene 1, Faustus is alone in his study reviewing his achievements and decides necromancy is his preferred perspective and summons Valdes and Cornelius to help him conjure spirits
  • In Scene 1, whilst Faustus is waiting for Valdes and Cornelius, the Good Angel and Evil Angel appear
  • In Scene 1, the Good Angel advises Faustus to lay aside the "damned book" of magic
