    • P- One strength of the
      behaviourist approach
      is that the principles
      of conditioning have
      been applied to real
      world behaviours and
      problems.
    • E- For example, operant
      conditioning is the
      basis of token
      economy which has
      been used as
      treatments in
      institutes like prisons
      or psychiatric wards.
    • E- Treatments such as
      these are when you
are given a tangible token for positive
      behaviour and those
      tokens can be
      exchanged for
      privileges which have
      been seen to be
      effective in these
      environments.
    • L- This is a strength of
      the behaviourist
      approach as it
      demonstrates the
      real-life application of
      the theory and
      therefore has real
      value, increasing its
      credibility.
