  • Communication process
    Sender encodes and sends a message, which is carried via the communication channel to the receiver. The receiver decodes the message, processes the information, and sends an appropriate reply or feedback via the same communication channel.
  • Two-way communication
    • "You are required to sign the attached form and return it to my office on or before 20th August 2024". In this message, the receiver has to respond.
  • One-way communication
    • "Water supply will be disconnected at 6:00 am tomorrow". Here the receiver is required to follow instructions. No feedback is expected by the sender.
