    • The Resistance phase refers to when the intense arousal from the alarm phase diminishes, but the physiological arousal remains above normal
    • During Resistance, unnecessary processes shut down; digestion, sex drive etc. and the Cortisol in the blood stream energies the body
    • In the Resistance phase, the ability to deal with the stressor remains above normal

    • Signs of Resistance phase include the decrease in immune function due to the release of cortisol, the presence of mild physical ailments and changes in behaviour
