Transactional Model explains why individuals respond differently to different stressors , and allows for the fact that stressors can change over time
The Model suggests that an individual has an active role in their own stress response, as its based on human subjects and allows for the consideration of cognitive processes within the stress response
Individuals may not always be aware of all the stress-causing factors, and the model doesn't allow for people to experience secondary appraisal first or at the same time as the first
The Transactional Model does not account for external, sociocultural factors that may influence stress and underestimates the role of physiological process in influencing stress response
