  • Narration – used to retell a story

  • Choose a topic
    -          Your topic must be about a set of events such as a particular instance in life
  • Formulate an Opinion
    -          Must state on how you feel about the set of events that occurred
  • Supporting the Main idea
    -          Use graphic organizers in generating ideas that support your main idea
  • -          Lead-in – written as an introduction to the subject(can be a form of a story)
  • -          Thesis statement -  sentence or two that expresses the main idea of whole text/writers point
  • -          Review of the main point – topic sentences that support the thesis statement.

  • -          Main idea/point – general term for the message the writer intends to convey
  • -          Memorable statement – what a writer would write may write at the last sentence
  • Revising – if your answer is no, add more or eliminate if necessary
  • Editing – if your revision checklist is yes proceed to proofreading(involves checking errors)
  • Proofread – test the readability or quality of the text
  • Descriptive Text – creates a clear picture of as single scene, object, person or anything visible
  • Descriptive Text - Making the users experience a scene through descriptions that appeal to senses
  • Drafting - come up with a title, vivid introduction, and interesting conclusion
  • Using vivid details is like creating a portrait with words
